Balancing your professional and personal life can be challenging, but is essential. Often work takes precedence over everything else in our lives. Our desire to succeed professionally can push us to set aside our own well-being. Creating a balance between work & life in order to improve is crucial for not only our physical, emotional and mental health, but also for how we perform in our  career.

work-life balance is the state of equilibrium where a person equally prioritizes the demands of one’s career and the demands of one’s personal life. Some of the common reasons leading to a poor work-life balance include:

  • Working longer hours
  • Increased responsibilities at home
  • Having children
  • Increased responsibilities at work

There are however ways to improve work-life balance. 

  • Accept that there is no ‘perfect’ work-life balance
  • Strive to have a job that you love
  • Make sufficient time for the ones you love the most 
  • Prioritize the small moments for you making use of lifestyle tools as fashion and well-being products to be your strongest version
  • Prioritize your health  and overall well-being
  • Do not be afraid to disconnect and take vacations 
  • Set boundaries at work and socially if needed 
  • Set goals and priorities them
